Brock University Admissions

Brock University offers more than 70 undergraduate programs and 50 graduate programs in seven Faculties. All prospective students should look up Brock admission portal for important deadlines as some program deadlines vary.

Fall full-time entry students should endeavor to submit applications by June 1 and August 1 for part-time students to ensure consideration by September.

Brock University Academic Programs 2022

The academic experience at Brock University is very exceptional as degree programs consider the future of students. Having 19,000 students in seven different Faculties, there’s a high cognitive focus on a career with co-op and service-learning options in order to maximize the experience in designated fields of study. Brock University calculates tuition on the basis of flat fee rate in addition to per term credit weight according to the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities guidelines.

For Year 1-10, the Tuition Fees (excluding Ancillary Fees) Flat Fee is charged on 4.0 or more credits or attempted credits and a Per credit ancillary fees 2020 which is subject to change.

Books and Supplies

Typically, students spend between $900 (Arts) and $1,200 (Sciences) on books and supplies each year in most programs. Requirements vary depending on the program.

Brock University Cost of Living

Accommodations are offered to students on campus according to their preferences. Residences are single and shared rooms, townhouse – or traditional – style buildings each with a wide variety of meal plans. The residence meal plans are compulsory for all in-residence students excluding Brock Suites residents.

You can apply online for any residence.

For laundry and dry cleaning, an estimated budget of $340 is considered per academic year. Although, personal lives influence budget but an average expense of $25-$50 is expected a week or about $400-$800 per academic term.

Brock University Scholarships, Bursaries and Financial Awards

It might interest you to know that Brock University has devoted over $4,000,000 to award programs for 2020-21. International undergraduates at Brock are eligible to receive awards and are subject to international tuition rates.

Brock Scholars Award grades level (Ontario equivalent grades) and award amounts are:

Amount of award Admission average (final grades)

$16,000 ($4,000 first year, $4,000 renewable for 3 years) 93.0% and above.

$10,000 ($2,500 first year, $2,500 renewable for 3 years) 90.0% – 92.9%

$6,000 ($1,500 first year, $1,500 renewable for 3 years) 85.0% – 89.9%

$4,000 ($1,000 first year, $1,000 renewable for 3 years) 80.0% – 84.9%

Brock University Financial Aids

Emerging Market Entrance awards

Value: Equivalent to the Brock Scholars awards ($1,000-$4,000) for first-year eligible students.

Students of these countries are automatically eligible: Bangladesh, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia; Kenya; Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine or Vietnam.

International Curriculum awards

Value: $1,000

Students with the following are automatically regarded;
• IB diploma successful completion
• AP: incoming first-year undergraduate students with 3 AP courses with an exam score of 3 or more
• A-level final year average C or higher

International Ambassador Award

Value: Variable-Equal to domestic tuition (only) rates

Must fulfill the requirements stated by the selected committee.

The Caribbean International Scholarship

Value: $4000.00

Bestowed to two (2) 1st-year undergraduate students who demonstrate academic promise and financial need. Applicable countries: Cuba; Haiti; Dominican Republic; Jamaica; Trinidad & Tobago; Guadeloupe; Martinique; and others.

International Education Fund

Value: Variable

The International Education Fund Award is annually awarded to incoming 1st-year international undergraduate students. International Market Development determines the award value. To be eligible, students must demonstrate academic promise and the award is non-renewable. This award will only be available until the funds are exhausted.

International Mobility Award-Diverse Locations

Value: TBA

Diverse Locations as determined by Brock International Services, will be awarded yearly to outgoing Brock students that are selected to participate on exchange or summer programming at specific Brock partner opportunities. This award may be given in addition to the International Mobility Award and will only be available until the funds are exhausted.

International Mobility Ambassador Award

Value: TBA

The Mobility Ambassador Award will be awarded to selected returning exchange Brock students to encourage their mobility experience to other students yearly. Students will submit 20 hours of work per term for the Brock International Services office. This award is available to undergraduates only at most in two academic sessions until the funds are exhausted.

International Mobility Awards

Value: $175 – $1,000 Varies based on credit count and/or length of the exchange

The International Mobility Award is available to undergraduate students participating in an international learning program, exchange or an approved international field course.

All applications are made on the International Ambassador Award Application or on the  OneApp.
