California State University, Sacramento is a public university situated in Sacramento, California. The campus is encompassed by over 3,500 trees and is built on a 305 acres (123 ha) plot. The school moved to a permanent site on the American River Banks in December 1952 and by February 9, 1953, it opened to about 2,400 students on 289 acres of campus. 30 new structures were created by 1962, with construction beginning in 1951.
