Humber College Tuition 2022: Scholarships and Cost of Living: The Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning which is just referred to as Humber College was established in the year 1967 located in Ontario Canada and is funded by the public.

The Institute has over 150 programs in its service that include Bachelor’s degree, Postgraduate degrees, and apprenticeship programs. The programs are available in over 40 disciplines. Asides these programs, Humber College also opens its doors to globally trained professionals in the Information technology and engineering field to study Bridge Training Programs.

Humber College holds rank as the first college in all of Ontario to get a Silver ranking in the Sustainability Tracking Assessment Rating System. The school’s North Campus has an estimated 20,000 students in Full-Time study and about 57,000 students in Part-Time study. The campus is located near the Humber River and offers a generous buffet of programs to pick from, ranging from Media Studies, Liberal Arts, Health Science, Business, Applied Technology and a host of others.

The Lakeshore Campus is seated on the shores of Lake Ontario. It houses only Full-Time students and is estimated to have a student population of 7,200.

The Orangeville Campus has a total of six wireless classrooms, one restaurant, one food court, a computer lab, a restaurant, two hockey rinks, a library and finally a swimming pool.

 While other campuses offer a range of facilities to students interested in the fashion and beauty industry, The Fashion Institute of Humber College is the best fit for the students. It has the ideal environment needed for proper learning.

The Scholarship Programs Offered Are;

International Entrance Scholarships – Graduate Diploma Program

Students applying for this program must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any course of their choosing

The programs offered are for the award of Master’s Degree

The maximum scholarship offered per student is CAD 5000 => Rs 2,71,700 and it would be given yearly. The scholarship does not cover housing, living expenses, travels, spouse or child expenses, and other expenses. It only covers tuition.

Humber College – International Entrance scholarships (Full tuition fee- Degree Program)

The school offers this scholarship to International students. It is usually very competitive in nature and so applicants are usually selected based on academics, reference and community involvement.

The scholarship is for the procurement of a Bachelor’s Degree 

  • Hospitality and Tourism Management, Bachelor of Commerce
  • Management Studies, Bachelor of Commerce

Maximum scholarship per student is CAD 15113 => Rs 8,21,240.

Humber College – International Entrance scholarships – Bachelor Diploma Program

These programs are available for the procurement of Bachelor’s Degree 

  • Advance Diploma in Business Administration-Accounting
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technician
  • Advance Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
  • Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology
  • Diploma in Biotechnology
  • Advanced Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology
  • Advanced Diploma in Business Administration

Maximum scholarship per student is CAD 4000 => Rs 2,17,040

Humber College – International Entrance scholarships (Bachelor Degree Scholarships – Bachelor of Film and Media Production)

This program is offered to just students from secondary schools or high schools. It is for students that are non-transfer. They must have not attended a university before. Humber College awards scholarship automatically to students graduating from High school with academically sound results.

Students applying can procure a Bachelor’s Degree for any of the following programs;

  • Bachelor of Film and Media Production
  • Graduate Certificate in Marketing Management
  • Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management

Maximum amount for scholarship per student is CAD 4000 => Rs 2,17,360 and it is given yearly. It can only be used for tuition.

It is important to note that fees are paid on a semester basis and not annually. This is in a bid by the government to dwarf the financial burden on parents or sponsors of students. So, instead of paying it all at once, fees can be paid twice which is at the beginning of every semester.

Things you should know about Humber College Tuition 2020

Fees are also calculated based on different things like;

  • How long the academic session for a particular course would run for
  • The academic program itself
  • The citizenship of the applicant 
  • The course load
  • The meal plan and room selected
  • The lockers and parking space (If required)

Dates are usually posted as to when the fees are due for payment.

Normally, a semester load is at 2.50 credits. Depending on the studies, it can be as low as 2.00 credits. Students with 2.00 credits and above are considered as Full-Time students.

However, students with less than 2.00 credits are considered to be Part-Time students.
