Every year, the IT University of Copenhagen awards state scholarships to three or four extremely brilliant MSc applicants (full-degree students) from outside the EU and EEA. The state scholarships include free tuition and a portion of the cost of living. Applicants are not permitted to apply for the scholarships. The IT University analyzes all admitted MSc students for the scholarships and tells the students who are chosen for the scholarships in their letter of admission.

Eligibility: To be eligible for a scholarship, you must be: 

  • A citizen of a country other than the EU, EEA (the European Economic Area), or Switzerland 
  • Admitted to a master’s degree program at the University of Copenhagen 
  • Granted a time-limited residence permit for the purpose of studying in Denmark

2. Danish government (Masters Degree)

Aarhus University distributes a small number of Danish Government Scholarships for Non-EU/EEA Students enrolled in its Master’s degree programs. Aarhus University has a limited number of scholarships available for the most promising applicants from outside of Europe. Scholarship worth and inclusions: The scholarships normally include full tuition remission and a monthly award for a maximum of 23 months throughout the degree program. The content of a scholarship varies. In some situations, the award includes a complete or partial tuition waiver. In some situations, the tuition waiver includes a monthly grant for living expenses, often but not always throughout the duration of your Master’s degree program. Some faculties solely provide tuition waivers. In this instance, the faculty may be able to provide other relevant services to its tuition waiver grantees, such as support in finding an appropriate student job.

Eligibility: Only applicants from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland are eligible. Applicants must follow the university’s normal admission standards and the application procedures and deadlines. 

The selection procedure: Priority will be given to candidates with exceptional academic qualifications when selecting scholarship recipients from among the academically competent applicants. Unfortunately, due to the limited amount of scholarships available, we cannot provide a scholarship to all highly eligible applicants. On average, just one or two scholarships are available for each of our Master’s degree programs. Some faculties may place a deliberate emphasis on specific degree programs or candidates from specific countries. 

If you are chosen for a scholarship, you will get a scholarship offer in the application system along with your letter of admission. If you are not selected for a scholarship, you will be notified of your tuition fees. There is no separate scholarship application because all applicants will be automatically assessed for scholarships based on their applications. There are no further documents necessary. 3. Roskilde University (Masters Degree)

 A limited number of Danish state tuition price waivers and grants are available to exceptionally bright graduate students from countries outside of the EU/EEA who require a residence permit to study at Roskilde University. This is under the Danish Government Scholarships for Non-EU/EEA Students scheme.

Host Institution: Roskilde University in Denmark

Level/Field of study: Masters programs at the university that are eligible for September 2022 entry:

Scholarship value/inclusions: Tuition is free, and living expenses are partially covered.   • Students from EU/EEA member countries.
