JAMB Registration Portal 2021/2022 UTME/DE Registration, Fees and Schedule

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that Registration for the 2021/2022 academic year has started. This is good news for candidates planning to sit for 2021/2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry examination.

We understand that the entire process can be a bit confusing for a lot of persons, especially those who haven’t written this exam before. Candidates can proceed to the main Jamb portal via jamb.gov.ng to begin their enrolment processes after they have gone through all the instructions in this post.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had announced that registration will take place in 700 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers nationwide.

Candidates are advised to check their eligibility for chosen programs and institutions on www.jamb.gov.ng/ibass. It is important that candidates check the requirements before starting the application process. The eligibility checker helps candidates with options of programs based on their qualifications in WAEC or NECO

Kindly note that the University of Ibadan is not admitting candidates for the 2021/2022 session. Candidates are therefore advised not to choose the University in this 2021/2022 registration.

JAMB 2021/2022 Registration and Exam Date

Jamb Registration 2021 began on the 8th of April 2021 and will close on the 15th of May 2021 while the examination is stated to hold from the 5th June to 19th of June 2021 in the candidates’ chosen examination centers. Candidates will be required to reprint their JAMB slip to know their exact examination date and center a few weeks before the start of the exam.

Meanwhile, it is important to quickly point out that it is now compulsory for applicants to supply their National Identity Number (NIN) before they can register for the 2021 JAMB examinations.

Jamb Portal | Registration Fees

The registration fees for JAMB 2021 registration is N3,500 (three thousand, five hundred naira) for both UTME and DE candidates while the approved CBT service charge is N700 (seven hundred naira).

How to Register for JAMB 2021

To register for the 2021 JAMB examination, follow the simple steps below. Note that you will also need to visit any of the accredited JAMB registration centers to fill and complete the registration form online.

Registration Steps:

  • Get Ready an E-mail Account: The first basic step to start with is to create/or get ready a valid email address. JAMB recommends Gmail for quick delivery and alternatively Yahoo mail. This is to enable you to send or receive information from Jamb on the examination exam.
  • Get your NIN: It is now compulsory that you get your National Identification Number before you proceed to register for the 2021 UTME.
  • Create your Jamb Profile: Proceed to gov.ng/Efacility and click on the ‘Sign up for UTME/DE’ button to create your Jamb profile. It is compulsory to register your Jamb profile before you buy the 2021 registration form. You will need it to proceed with the exam registration, checking your result online, checking admission status, the printing of admission letters, etc.
  • Check Jamb iBass: According to Jamb, it is recommended that check your eligibility before you proceed to register for the 2021 UTME examination.
  • Purchase an e-PIN: Proceed to any participating bank nationwide (see list below) and/or other selling points to buy your Jamb 2021 E-pin registration.
  • Visit Accredited CBT Centre: Proceed to any accredited CBT centers with your personal details, Jamb profile, and e-PIN or Code to complete your registration.

JAMB Form Registration Period 

According to JAMB, all candidates, including those registering in foreign countries are to register for the exam between Thursday, April 8th, 2021, and Saturday, May 15th, 2021.

PIN vending ends Friday 10th May while the registration portal closes on Saturday 15th May 2021.

    • Present Profile Code and pay by cash or card
    • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number
  2. PAYMENT THROUGH POS – This is available at State Offices of JAMB + CBT Centres, other POS outlets and any CBT Centre that demands it
    • Present Profile Code and pay by card

  3. PAYMENT THROUGH MOBILE MONEY OPERATORS – This is available at CBT Centres and Other Outlets
    • Present Profile Code and pay by cash
    • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number
  4. PAYMENT USING ATM – This is available on all ATM outlets of Participating Banks listed in C(I) (InterSwitch Channel)
    • Select Bill Payment and then pick JAMB
    • Enter Profile Code and pay
    • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number
    • Visit the JAMB website: jamb.gov.ng
    • Click Purchase of 2021 Application Document
    • Enter your Profile Code
    • Select payment method (InterSwitch or Remita)
    • Make payment
    • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number
    • Foreign candidates visit www.jamb.gov.ng/efacility
    • create a profile
    • Login to the profile
    • On the menu on the left pane, click on 2021 Foreign UTME/DE registration
    • Go through guided questions until the payment page
    • Make payment using any of the authorized cards
    • Complete the registration directly online
  7. Embassy:   Nigerian Embassies in Abidjan, Accra, Addis Ababa, Buea, Cotonou, Jeddah, Johannesburg and London


  1. All candidates must mandatorily register their profiles through text messages as illustrated above before proceeding to buy the ePIN
  2. The registration fee is non-refundable
  3. As it is the practice, centers are allowed to charge not more than Seven Hundred Naira (700) only as a registration fee. Any center that charges more than Seven Hundred Naira (700) should be reported to JAMB for appropriate sanctions
  4. All CBT centers have been mandated to select any of the participating banks, MMOs, MFBs, etc. These financial institutions are to be present at the CBT centers for the purpose of collecting all No CBT center staff is allowed to conduct direct cash transaction with the candidates
  5. Candidates are advised to read and understand the guidelines on admission and instructions on how to complete the online registration before commencing the process of registration
  6. Multiple registrations are not Candidates who register more than once will be identified and disqualified
  7. Candidates should note that they must be present and take live photographs that will be embossed on their result slips and admission letters. No scanned/stapled passport photograph is allowed
  8. Candidates are to note that irrespective of their choice of the program of study, they will also be tested on a general text “The Life Changer” by Khadija Abubakar Jali for UTME Candidates and DE candidates are also expected to read the text.
  9. Candidates/Officials would not be allowed to enter into the examination center with a wristwatch, Phone, electronic device, or any pen/biro. Only the common pencil is allowed.
  10. Candidates are warned that JAMB does not require or authorize ANY cyber cafe services or establishments other than the accredited CBT centers for this exercise.

JAMB Mock Examination

The Board will also conduct an optional mock examination in all the accredited CBT centers to prepare and familiarise INTERESTED Candidates with the CBT environment. Interested candidates are advised to indicate their interest in the mock examination during registration provided they register on or before Saturday 24th April 2021.

The date for the MOCK examination shall be from 30th April 2021.

Non-JAMB CBT Centres are allowed to collect, through their bank accounts, a separate Seven Hundred Naira (₦700) only, for mock exercise from only interested candidate(s) after notification of center has been received by the candidate(s). The payment for the mock examination by the candidate shall be made to the center to which the candidate is assigned after the notification of assigned centers for the mock examination. No Association or body is permitted to run any mock examination on behalf of JAMB.
