Lambton College Tuition 2022: Scholarships and Cost of Living

Lambton College is a public-funded institution established in 1969 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. There are more than 10,000 students studying in college. The college offers both full-time and part-time programs. Other campuses are in Mississauga and Toronto. Lambton college tuition varies across individual programs.

Tuition for the year 2022

There are different types of tuition fees in Lambton College, they are:

Compulsory fees which include athletic fee, career service fee, co-op fee, counseling fee, graduation fee, health, and dental fee, student activity fee, student administrative council academic support fee, student administrative wellness fee, student administrative council recreation fee, student health fee, student center building fee, student card fee, technology access fee, tutoring fee.
Optional fees are alumni fee, community engagement fee, facilities fee, student clubs fee, student administrative council membership fee.
The rest is for International students. They include online ConEd material fees, transcript fees, and late charges.

Lambton college tuition for the 2022 academic year ranges from $3000 to $7000 depending on the program in question. The college offers over 90 programs in the fields of sciences, management, arts, and advanced studies. It also has post-graduate, apprenticeships and training programs. Lambton College Tuition 2022: Cost of Living

Lambton College residence houses over 280 students on campus. It has a courtyard, student lounge, Exports Arena, athletics and fitness complex with a brand new fitness room free for students.

Lambton college tuition for residence varies with programs as well as duration. Most of the programs for 2022 will span from September 2022 through April 2022. MSTC programs will be from September 2022 through June 2022. Others, including DSWP, ESTH, HSTY, RENT will be from September 2022 through August 2022.

Students also pay other fees which are at a flat rate for all programs. They are Meal Plan, Activity Fee, Laundry Card and Refundable Damage Deposit. This brings the Lambton College Tuition for residence to a total that varies between $8000 to $11000 for the different aforementioned program categories. Included is an Initial mandatory application fee of $250 which is a combination of administration and room deposit fees. These payments are made on the college portal, myLambton.ca. Students are availed the opportunity of splitting payments through the office of the Registrar and & Financial Aid Services.

Lambton College Scholarship 2022

Lambton College offers scholarship opportunities which solely depends on the applicants’ academic excellence and proficiency in English language. Intakes accepted for international applications are

• Fall (September)
• Winter (January)
• Summer (June)

Not all programs accept applications for every intake. Programs accepting intake can be verified from the programs page of the college website. Application for each intake lasts for a period of 4 months. However, the college terminates the admission once the enrollment capacity of the program being applied for is reached. As such it is only advisable for intending applicants to apply earlier.

Scholarship Application Procedure

Qualification for the scholarship is subject to an applicants completion of the following procedures and benchmarks:

• Direct submission of application for an academic program for a period not less than two years through the Lambton college’s online application portal.
• Submission of not more than two years of completion of test scores for the under listed, as a proof of English language proficiency
  Academic IELTS with a minimum overall score of 7.0 or
  TOEFL 1BT with minimum overall score of 94.
• A must provision of certified copies of high school/ post-secondary transcripts, diplomas and degrees
  Signed notice of disclosure forms
• A $150 CAD non-refundable and non-transferable application fee payable by VISA or MasterCard
• International students should pay approximate amount of the first-year tuition to help facilitate the obtaining of a Canadian Study Permit.
• An applicant must obtain a valid visa in order to study in Canada, as such, must have Lambton College offer letter and a fee receipt confirming payment for first semester before beginning the visa application process.

It is noteworthy that on a regular occurrence, applications exceed carrying capacity of each program which is tantamount to highly competitive admission process. Hence, Lambton college does not guarantee acceptance of every applicant that met the minimum requirement for becoming a scholarship awardee.

Successful Applicants

Applicants that qualify for the conditional scholarship approval will receive an Acceptance letter with confirmation of the approval noted in Box 25 of the letter. If an applicant does not receive the Acceptance letter or that the confirmation in Box 25 was not noted, it is an indication that the applicant did not qualify or is not approved for the scholarship. Accepted applicants must maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA during first two semesters of academic study. Lambton college awards scholarship worth of CAD$1000 to qualified candidates.

Applicants that met all the conditions for the scholarship, will have the scholarship amount credited into their Lambton College student account. The college will activate the use of the fund from their third semester. Students cannot cash, request for refund or use the fund for any other purpose.
