The total value of the Levine scholarship 2021 for a four-year package is estimated at $105,000 for in-state students and $155,000 for out-of-state students.

As members of the Honors College, Levine Scholars will be given the opportunity to enroll in honors courses, complete a senior honors thesis, and live in the honors residence hall as they progress toward graduation with honors distinction.

Levine Scholarship Requirements

Interested Levine scholarship applicants should note that:

  • Students must be applicants for freshman enrolment at UNC Charlotte in an undergraduate program for the fall term immediately following their high school graduation.
  • They must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
  • Students must demonstrate a commitment to community service, hold an academic record that reflects a sustained passion for knowledge, and possess a capacity for ethical leadership that elevates fellow students to a higher standard.
  • While there is no minimum SAT, ACT, or grade point average to apply for the Levine Scholarship, students must excel academically and show evidence of experience, motivation, and commitment toward the ideals of the program.
  • Successful candidates will likely have a grade point average of 3.8 – 4.0 (unweighted) and score 1900 – 2400 on the three combined sections of the old SAT or a 29 – 36 on the ACT composite.

How To Apply for Levine Scholarship 2023

The Levine Scholars 2021 has a four-step scholarship nomination/application process that includes the following:

Nomination:

Prospective Levine scholars or applicants must be nominated online by their high school counselor. There is no limit to the number of students that can be nominated from each high school.

Homeschooled or domestic students can be nominated by a teacher or professor who is not related to the student. The online nomination form for the 2023 session will be available on August 15, and nominations were accepted until October 8, 2023, and will be available within the same period in 2023.

Application for Admission:

Applicants should create a Future 49er Portal account to access, complete, and submit their online freshman admissions application.

Completion of a Levine Supplemental Scholarship Application:

Once a student has been nominated for the Levine Scholarship, they will receive an email directing them to the Levine Scholars Portal where they will find the essay questions and supplemental scholarship application.

Applicants should complete Section A of the application immediately so that emails can be sent to each individual who will be writing letters of recommendation. The entire supplemental application for the 2021 session should be completed and submitted online by November 8, 2023.

Submission of Online Recommendations:

Student applicants can have up to three recommendations submitted, but only two recommendations will be reviewed.

The first required recommendation should be from someone with direct knowledge of your accomplishments and academic potential; the second required recommendation should be from someone with direct knowledge of your capacity for ethical leadership and commitment to community service.

The third recommendation, which is optional, can be from anyone who has known the student in a community or academic setting.

When completing the supplemental scholarship application, students will be asked to submit the names and email addresses of their two required recommenders and one optional recommender.

The recommenders will immediately be sent an email directing them to the online recommendation link form. The recommendation submission deadline for the 2021 session will be on November 8, 2021. and will be within the same period for that of 2021.

Applications submitted on November 1st will be processed on November 5th. So, until your application is processed, you can’t view it in the future portal. So you have to be patient for some days for your status to be updated.
