SAT score means Scholastic Assessment Test score. Your SAT score is considered on an 1110- 1310 point scale (evidence-based reading and writing and math sections). Also, SDSU combines the best evidence-based reading and writing, and math scores from multiple SAT tests to calculate the best composite and compute your results.

SAT Scores and Requirements

All applicants are expected to submit their SAT scores during the 2019/2020 admissions cycle. However, admission’s data tells us that most of SDSU’s admitted students fall within the top 35% nationally on the SAT. For the evidence-based reading and writing section, 50% of students admitted to SDSU scored between 560 and 650, while 25% scored below 560 and 25% scored above 650. In the math section, 50% of students admitted to SDSU scored between 550 and 670, while 25% scored below 550 and 25% scored above 670. Applicants with a composite SAT score of 1320 or higher will have particularly competitive chances at San Diego State University.

San Diego State University does not require the SAT writing section. SAT Subject tests are not required, but, if the score meets the cut-off, it may be used to fulfill certain core course requirements.

ACT SCORE
