Each year, up to 2 Hundred Schwarzman Scholars are selected to represent the world’s next generation of leaders as high-caliber individuals with open minds & limitless potential.
Prior to enrollment, all qualified applicants MUST be proficient in the English language and have successfully completed their undergraduate degrees.
Students can apply for or pursue a Masters’s degree in Global Affairs, with concentrations in one of the following disciplines: – economics and business, public policy, and international studies. This course of study gives students an opportunity to focus on aspects of global affairs they may not have previously studied in their sessions.

What are the benefits of Fully Funded Schwarzman Scholarships?
International Students who wish to apply for Schwarzman Scholarships shall get an opportunity to complete their Master‘s studies. Their studies will be fully sponsored by Schwarzman Scholarship.

Who is Eligible to apply for Fully Funded Schwarzman Scholarships?
Before you apply for the Schwarzman Scholarships in China, ensure you meet all the requisites of admission.
Candidates must be at least 18 but not yet 29 years of age as of August 1, 2022.
Must possess an undergraduate degree or first degree from an accredited college or university or its equivalent.
Before orientation begins, applicants who are currently enrolled in undergraduate degree programs must be on track to successfully complete all degree requirements by August 2021. There are no requirements for a specific field of undergraduate study; all fields are welcome, but it will be important for applicants, regardless of undergraduate major, to articulate how participating in Schwarzman Scholarship will help develop their leadership potential within their field.

Due to the high demand for English language test sites, many Chinese applicants for Schwarzman Scholarships have had difficulty registering at English language test sites in Mainland China. To ensure that interested applicants are not excluded in this first year, applicants from China will be temporarily allowed to submit results from CET-6 or TEM-8, using the “additional information” field in the application form.
Before semi-finalist decisions are made, candidates who are on the shortlist to be invited as a semi-finalist for an interview will be required to complete a phone interview. If they succeed as a finalist, their offer of admission will be conditional, and they will still be expected to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score above the minimum requirements for the Schwarzman Scholarship before March of 2022.

Application for the Schwarzman Scholarship must be done online through the online application service. Ensure you check the requirements of the degree course you are applying for where this course is being offered. Applicants are not required to sign any bond to avail Schwarzman Scholarships. On August 1 of the enrollment year, aspirants must be at least 18 years old but not yet 29 years old.
There is no charge for submitting an application to the program. The program arranges and pays for all interview-related costs, including one night’s lodging if necessary; economy-class airfare or rail travel; and group meals. Tuition, fees, accommodation and board, transport to and from Beijing at the start and conclusion of the academic year, in-country study excursions, necessary course materials and supplies, a Lenovo laptop, health insurance, and a personal stipend are all fully funded by the program for Schwarzman Scholars.
The university or college where the candidate studied is not taken into consideration during the selection process, provided that the school was duly accredited, but rather the individual’s intellectual ability and leadership potential. Outstanding leaders and scholars have emerged from many different types of institutions.
Interview panelists are respected senior persons from politics, business, colleges, and non-profit organizations, who are generally but not always from the same region as the candidate being interviewed.
The International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) at Tsinghua University will provide the appropriate documents for acquiring a visa. After a Schwarzman Scholar is accepted, the procedure begins in the spring. The Schwarzman Scholars staff will provide advice, but formal documentation will be issued by the university and the applicable embassy.
