Like many other top Universities in the United Kingdom, there are some basic things needed as key requirements for entrance into the University of Manchester.

University of Manchester Scholarships 2021


£1,000 per year will be awarded to students who have either successfully applied for a place having completed the Manchester Access Programme (MAP), or are under the age of 25 and are currently or have been in public care for a minimum of three months.


Up to £1,000 for the first year of study, regardless of household income, is awarded to Home/EU students gaining A*AA grades at A level who are entering undergraduate courses in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering.


Up to £5,000 per year for students who have pursued a vocational route in an engineering discipline for at least two years after having left full-time education and before entering a degree-level engineering course.


The Manchester Bursary is available to any student who is registered on an eligible undergraduate degree course at The University of Manchester and who has had a full financial assessment carried out by Student Finance. This bursary is additional to the government package of maintenance grants.  This Bursary is only available to UK students.

The purpose of this scholarship is to support the University of Manchester students during their studies.

The Scholarship will be awarded to one new student each academic year for a period of three or four years, depending on their degree. Students will receive £2,250 per year throughout the duration of their studies.


£2,000 per year is available for well-qualified international undergraduate students. Nominations for Faculty to consider are made on the basis of high performance in High School final year examinations (or equivalent), and the academic reference on the UCAS form. Students do not need to apply for this scholarship, as all eligible students will automatically be shortlisted.


The University of Manchester has created five prestigious scholarships of£3,000 per year to celebrate our long tradition of welcoming Indian students.  The Indian Excellence Scholarships are given to the highest achieving applicants for an undergraduate course within the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate outstanding academic performance in their pre-university International Baccalaureate or Standard XII education and must be permanently domiciled in India or be Indian nationals.

The scholarship is worth £3,000 per year and is renewable for each year of study, provided the students achieve an annual overall grade of at least 60%.
