1. Erasmus University Holland Scholarship

Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science fund the Erasmus University Holland Scholarship. Level of study/Field(s): Except for studies at the International Institute of Social Studies, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in any topic and faculty are required (ISS). Only students from the Research Master in Philosophy and Economics are eligible for the Erasmus School of Philosophy (ESPhil).

Target group: Non-EEA students

Scholarship value/inclusions: €5,000, €10,000 or €15,000 (to be decided by the faculty)

Eligibility: Applicants must be;

  1. Non-EEA nationals who are required to pay the institutional tuition cost;
  2. Excellent scholars by the standards of their respective faculties;
  3. Applying to Erasmus University Rotterdam for a full-time bachelor’s or Master’s degree;
  4. Students who did not acquire a diploma from a Dutch educational institution; and Those who have never been enrolled as full-time students at a Dutch educational institution.

The Radboud Scholarship Programme provides a limited number of excellent potential non-EEA students with the option to acquire a scholarship to study an English-taught Master’s degree at Radboud University.

Level of study/Field(s): Except for Erasmus Mundus Master’s programs and joint-degree Master’s programs, all Masters Degree Programmes are taught in English.

Scholarship amount/inclusions/term: 

  • Your tuition price will be reduced to € 2,209 if you receive a partial scholarship. For example, in 2022/2023, a grant holder will pay a tuition charge of €2,209 rather than €16,000.
  • The scholarships also cover visa, residence permit, health insurance, and liability insurance (Insurance Passport for Students (IPS)) costs.
  • If you are chosen as a scholarship recipient and are enrolled in a two-year Master’s degree, you must have completed all courses in the first year to be eligible for the grant again in the second year.

Eligibility: You will only be eligible to obtain a Radboud Scholarship if you:

  • Hold a non-EU/EEA passport
  • Are not eligible for the lower EEA tuition fee for other reasons
  • Have (will acquire) a Bachelor’s degree from a country other than the Netherlands, no degrees from the Netherlands, and no previous schooling in the Netherlands.
  • As mentioned in the formal letter of admission, I have been fully admitted to the English-taught Master’s degree program beginning September 1, 2022.
  • Can meet the requirements for obtaining a visa to visit the Netherlands
  • Are registered as a full-time student at Radboud University for the academic year and Master’s degree program for which the scholarship is being offered.

3. Rotary Scholarships for Water and Sanitation Professionals

The Rotary Foundation and the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education have partnered to address the world’s water and sanitation issue by increasing the number of trained professionals in poor and emerging nations who can create, plan, and execute solutions. Eligibility: Students must be provisionally admitted to UNESCO-IHE degree programs to be eligible for this grant (see above). Students must also reside or work close to a Rotary club.

Students accepted to the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education’s 12-month Master of Science program in Water, and Sustainable Development can be nominated by a local Rotary Club in their home community by applying for a scholarship to the Rotary/IHE Delft committee in the Netherlands, along with their resume and IHE Delft admission letter. Only completely funded and filed application forms from the sponsoring Rotary Club will be considered. Scholarship worth and benefits: The purpose of an OKP scholarship is to supplement the money you will be receiving during the scholarship time. The scholarship will help with living expenses and charges such as tuition, visas, travel, and insurance. You must cover any difference between the OKP scholarship amount and the actual expenditures.

Instructions on how to apply: Make sure you read the qualifying requirements carefully before applying and see if your company is willing to nominate you for the scholarship. You must apply directly to a higher education institution in the Netherlands of your choice. Scholarship value/duration: The scholarship ranges from € 3,000 to € 22,000 in value for one year. When students complete a two-year study program and meet the UTS process requirements, they can get an additional UTS in the first year.

Eligibility: Candidates must meet all of the following prerequisites to be considered for a UTS:

  • Applying for a UT scholarship is separate from applying for a course at the University of Twente. Regardless of your financial situation, you must first obtain an entrance letter.
  • You have been accepted (provisionally) into one of the qualified UT Master’s programs for the academic year 2022/2023. (September). Please remember that you will have to wait 8 weeks for the results after submitting your application.
  • You must have a student number.
  • You have not graduated from a UT graduate program;
  • You comply with the conditions for obtaining an entry visa in the Netherlands (if applicable);
  • You comply with the general English language test requirement Academic IELTS 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT of 90) and an additional 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) on the subscore of speaking skills
  • You are not eligible for a Dutch study loan;
  • The University Twente Scholarship is a scholarship for excellent students. Typically this means that you belong to the best 5 to 10 percent of your class
