Acadia University Admissions 2022
Acadia provides more than 200 Degree programs for undergraduates and over 17 for graduates. Over 80% of their programs permit cooperative education where students can learn and earn. Acadia has over 20 research centers covering all facets of their programs. Other academic programs provided are Online learning, Certificate and Teacher Education, English for Academic Purposes.
There are 4 EAP terms in a year:
Spring 2021, March 25 — June 5
Summer 2021, June 17 — August 28
Fall 2021, September 16 — November 27
Winter 2022, January 6 — March 19
Spring 2022, March 29 — June 4
The School of Education and Theology undergraduate programs use a different application process from other undergraduate degrees. Fall Term usually resumes by September while the Winter Term by January. Booking Residence accommodation goes with the academic term registered by the students. A non-refundable compulsory fee of $200 must be paid. A room is allocated once you pay and it’s added to the residence fee after move in. Residence campus program fee: $40

7 Day Max Plan $5278.75 includes dining seven days a week, all year PLUS $650 flex dollars. Tax-exempt.

Students in off-campus traditional residence halls (Castle, Kistler, Thomas, Dilworth, Heinz, and Knight Halls) can select from;
19 Meal Dining Plan: 19 all-you-care-to-eat meals per week ($2,720 per semester)
14 Meal Dining Plan: 14 all-you-care-to-eat meals per week plus $75 declining balance ($2,450 per semester )
10 Meal Dining Plan: 10 all-you-care-to-eat meals per week plus $50 declining balance ($2,250 per semester)
80 Block Meal Plan: NEW 80 Block Meal Plan: 80 all-you-care-to-eat meals per semester plus $250 declining balance ($1,450 per semester)

Awards and Prizes
Awards and prizes are one-time donations to students given by an Acadia department or a donor. Awards and prizes created by liberal Acadia alumni and their families. Most of these scholarships need not be applied. They are freely given.
Departmental Awards
At the end of each final exam in an academic year in April, students are considered for awards from the academic department or school (ex. Department of Biology, School of Education, etc.). These awards commend outstanding achievement, most improved students, community participation, etc. and they don’t require applications. But first, verify with the department.
Bursaries
- Government of Canada – Indigenous Bursaries Search Tool
- Indspire’s Building Brighter Futures bursaries, scholarships, and awards help First Nation, Inuit, and Métis students cover the costs of their post-secondary education and training, books, living expenses, childcare, and more.
- Nova Scotia students will receive a bursary of $128.30 per 3 credit-hour courses to a maximum set by the provincial government for the September-August time frame.
